Self Build Housing Range

Self build houses are a cost effective and robust pig housing option. They are suitable for all stages of pig production but most commonly used for farrowing and nursery.

The self build houses come in kit format and can be erected on site.

All the works can be completed by our staff including the laying of the concrete base or the farmer can lay the base and / or erect the building himself should he wish to do so.

The modular design means its quick and easy to build and the unit can be operational within a couple of days.

The materials used in the self build houses are non-corrosive and of the highest quality in line with the entire Portapig product range.

The wall panels are made to order so each house is produced on a bespoke basis. The self build houses are suitable for weaners up 40kg, and farrowing up to any required size.
